lol...not quite but still better than the Bruins winning. The Leafs let the Bruins off the hook because until their game seven meltdown, the most famous meltdowns is Don Cherry's too many men on the Ice penalty and the Miracle on Manchester. The Leaf meltdown was worse than the Bruins, but nowhere as bad as the Oilers blowing a 5 goal lead to a weaker team.

OK, let's leave the Leafs out of this. LOL. (Definitely an epic meltdown and will be even worse if Boston does win the cup.)

Like they say, a 2 goal lead is the worst lead in hockey. The team losing gets a goal and momentum shifts immediately. Something about HOPE and human nature. I always ask, why does a team play so well when down one goal and 2 minutes left? It happens in our men's league too. One team plays their heart out, and the other hangs on for the win.

Great game last night, refs missed calls fairly equally, and Chicago's too many men calls were their own fault. It seemed Boston was hesitant to play their usual game. Chicago looked fast though and it was by far the best game I've seen them play this playoff. (I have not seen all of them) Wait for game 2, whistles will be put away for the Boston Goons.

By the 3rd overtime, they were all starting to look like an exhausted Dionne Phaneuf. LOL. (I can't even stop it)

            • Actually the worst lead in hockey is a 3 goal lead. Not just because of the Leafs.
Canada was up 3-0 in the Junior Final a couple years back and blew it to Russia.
And don't forget Boston in 2010 against Philly. Up 3-0 in the series and 3-0 in game 4 only to blow that game and the rest that followed.
Teams always seem to go into a defensive shell when up 3-0. That's why its the worst lead.

I have to disagree. I'd estimate that say by mid game, 95% of the time a team can protect a 3 goal lead. Those odds shift dramatically for a 2 goal lead. (of course they do)

I know what you're saying though, the devastation to the team, players, fans is much larger than a 3 goal lead. With 10 minutes left, in game 7 etc. etc. etc. LOL

You're right Shyla, not even a close comparison, as you know I have been a Black Hawk fan for years, and they always seam to play a lot better when playing from behind, (sounds like most people on here) lol and a lot of there games were 1 goal games even in the regular season.

I did not like the look of the Hawks last night that's for sure. Can't seem to get in front of the net. They must have one of the worst Power Plays in a final I have ever seen. Let's just say after that shutout, I'm afraid, I'm very afraid. Bruins with momentum isn't good at all. Hawks really need Hosa.

Question: Is Stralberg, Stalberg a healthy scratch up until last night? I thought he was playing well up to the final. Or was he injured?

I think Stalberg is a healthy scratch, I believe they replaced hin with Bolland, a bigger more physical player. Don't worry to much the Black Hawks looked horrible against Detroit, but finally got their act together. You are right they need to crash the net otherwise Rask will stop everything they through at them. Go Black Hawks Go!!!!!

                        • Nt really invested in either team, but such an evenly matched series . Kinda pulling for Bruins cause I'd like to see Jagr get another cup ring.
