[QUOTE=Shyla Wild;394844]Showing some class when you win is good too...
Leafs have no idea what class is, I think when you become as desperate as they are, anything goes. Go HABS Go
Imagine a scenario where the Leafs just beat the Habs and you are watching the game with Shyla. She knows you are a Leaf fan and takes the loss out on your ass

Trust me, I'd never watch a game with her. No matter who wins, my ass is done. Maybe we could strap on the equipment (hockey equipment you dirty minds) drop our gloves and throw down. It would be my only chance. LOL

Hockey sure is religion in Montreal. I have to admit I played with and against some of the best players out there. There is a passion that is second to none for sure. Here our fans have no passion. Hate to say it but that's Toronto. The most anti-social city in Canada. I have my suspicions why it is anti-social, (work travel and expected 12 hour days is one of them). It's too bad most of the "fans" that get to attend games here are all corporate and could care less about hockey. Which is why they never cheer at the right times, or try to get the team going. Damn, they can't even get to their seats until the period is half over. I know people in Vancouver who tell me they have more passion among the Asian community for hockey.
I do wish another team would come to Ontario, to wake/shake these people up a bit.

Ray, at least you guys got to enjoy Perreault/Martin/Robert (one of the 10 best lines of all time). Toronto lines, maybe a couple of guys with Sittler, a couple of guys with Keon or a couple of guys with Sundin.

Craig Ramsey, Roger Crozier, Dominik Hasek, Mogilny, ryan miller, pat lafontaine also come to mind.
Toronto has had tons of good players too just never a winning team barely.
King Clancy, Dick Irvin, Tim Horton, Frank Mahovolich, Borje Salming, Lanny Macdonald, johnny bauer, Brian Mccabe were all there. Not to mention Eddy Shack.
Montreal just has the secret formula to get talent and motivate them.
I wouldn't say they have had more better players, they have had more better teams.

Championships are built on defense and goaltending....
BTW: I disagree with Habs not having better players through their history...The Hockey News agrees with me. They published the 100 greatest NHL players of all time. Sawchuk and Kelly both had their best days in Detroit. Therefore there is no Leaf player in the top 25 players on that list. 8 Habs are in the top 25 alone.Shyla Wild

I am just saying any of these players mentioned are pretty much as good as each other.
The difference is their team mates and franchise.
The Montreal passion, the french revenge thing, something in the water, whatever it all adds up.
Buffalo doesn't inspire championship play often and Toronto apparently does not either.
Borje Salming is cosidered by many to be one of the best defensemen of all time but he played on Toronto.

WTF, Shyla! That is completely unacceptable! That McCabe blooper reel should be at least an hour long.
I'm a Leafs fan but McCabe was a joke. Why he was Toronto's #1 defender for so long is beyond me. It pissed me off to no end to see his salary grow despite his ineptitude.
"Yeah, but he had a good slapshot."
Someone's gonna get slapped the next time I hear that bullshit. I'll take a defender who can actually defend over a slapper any day. For every slapshot he put in their net, he didn't prevent two in ours.

The fact is Brian McCabe will go down in history as a Leafs All star, not as a scapegoat for their lack of championships.
just saying.
