Even when a transgender admits shes an escort to a hotel clerk but also informs the clerk that shes not working during her stay, the hotel clerk cannot prove she will conduct her business in the room she rents so assuming she will is also discrimination.

YES I do agree there should be some zoning restrictions but only when a certain business will interfere or disturb a next door neighbor including in a hotel such as smoke or fumes from a chemical factory. BUT if theres no disturbance or interference from a certain business than a zoning restriction should not apply. These zoning restrictions have been passed on by over controlling society members and government forever and they need to be adjusted and re-written.
In this situation, they know exactly what the girls are doing there.
Calgary is not Toronto or Montreal.
There is no transgender conventions or business in Calgary.
If they let things like this run wild in Calgary, every hotel would be trashed.
You have to go there to understand, excess runs wild and it is mostly men with too much money.

If a brothel opens up next to my house, I will be upset.
My property values will go down, I will not put up with that.
This is one reason for zoning.

If an escort moved into the condo next to me it would be fine it they didn't work from home.
I would have a huge issue with an escort working from the condo next to me.
My residence should be separated from this kind of business.
I dont' want to be running into drunk or high clients in the elevator of my home.
I don't want them in my secure building, not even the escort knows who they are half the time.
Should my young daughter run into a sketched out john at 7am on her way to the school bus?
    Hell no!

Soda helped me out and I just rented her place. Easier. She was awesome to me. Nice when people reach out for help and it's there.

      Thank you.

This is a tricky situation. It certainly appears discriminatory. However a lot of discrimination is legal. Businesses have the right to refuse service, provided they are not violating human rights by doing it. This is why a car rental company can refuse a person without a licence, why a convenience store can refuse somebody not wearing a shirt, etc. They are not allowed to refuse service because of your ethnicity, gender, etc because the law specifically states they may not as they are human rights. If they thought you were going to be escorting, they have complete right to refuse service.

As far as this cancellation fee goes, you'll need to go back into the documents you booked everything with and see if there is a clause anywhere that states a cancellation fee and if you agreed to it. Usually this falls under the "terms and conditions" that you need to click a box to finalize the purchase. If the clause is there, you might not have a lot of luck fighting the cancellation fee. If it's not there, contact your credit card immediately and tell them your credit card has been charged without your consent. Even if there was a clause, you should still do this. You've got nothing to lose.

I wasted too many years hiding as a boy to waste more hiding as a girl. I would prefer to be turned away than to lower myself or to conform to what they want.

Honestly, once I calmed down...I just let it go. The cancelation fee was 125$. Expedia gave me double in vouchers. I could fight but it's just a headache over 125$....I piss 125$. It's just one of those cases that I don't feel like fighting. I found a solution and a place, I was compensated by Expedia, and besides my pride, no one was hurt.

Some battles you win...some you lose, and some are just not worth fighting.
