Transgender includes trans men (FtM) and trans women (MtF), intersexed, gender fluid, and even fetish crossdressers and transvestites- those who live their life as a man but dress as a woman privately.
Tia ...Jane is correct to represent her self as transgender even if she is or is not a transvestite. She is under the transgender umbrella.
I doubt that she identifies as a trans woman in transition as you and I do, which explains the HUGE difference in thinking and opinions on this subject. Since its a debate she can share her thoughts, views and opinions as a transgender but should represent herself that these are my views as a transgender cd or tv with no transition goals in mind.
But even then I still find it shocking that she embraces and uses such classic transphobic terminology and displays similar sentiments to those with transphobic ignorance and prejudice outside of the "trans" community.
