Was wondering what everyone's plans are once the New Law goes into affect on December 6th?

Do you think it will be best to see a lady that has her own incall location over a hotel?
Why did it take me so long to meet a Tgirl? I Love them

    Not changing much..

Well.. I don't think much is really going to change..

Although if one wants to be technically safer seeing touring girls in hotels might become riskier in some cities like Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary and Edmonton where there seem to be against escorts and or try to regulate them.. Police in other cities might change the way they do things too in regards to street level workers..

Seeing a well reviewed local girl with a discrete incall would likely reduce risks associated with getting caught in a hotel by the police..

It might be an idea to avoid girls that are here from other countries and working illegally.. They're a double whammie and could get targeted..

For me the changes consisted of changing some of my advertisements and photos to make sure they aren't too graphic or offensive..

Here in Vancouver I can't see the police changing things much other than redirecting the street workers to areas where they can work.. Possibly vice might go after some of the human trafficking rings here tho.. That would be a good thing.. Far too many illegals here in the city driving the prices down..

The police are already over worked and under funded. They are not just going to drop everything else and start massively busting johns. Things will probably remain about the same. Plus it will be local police deciding how to implement the law which could be very different in different places.

Look at weed. In BC they generally just confiscate it. In other parts of the country you get fined or go to jail. Same law different actions.

Plus no one will immediately implement a law that probably won't stand.

As much as Harper wants to put us all in jail, it probably won't materialize.
Harper needs as many inmates as he can to pay for his private prison system and continue to get his kick backs.
Right wingers won't rest until everyone THEY don't like is in prison.
This is the only way they will win another election.

NDP = Against whatever the other guys are for.
      Liberals Solution = Tolerence
PCs Solution = Put everyone in Jail

Nice party when their goal is to put more people in jail than ever before. (At a profit)

You have nothing to worry about and can proceed " business as usual ". The changes to the criminal code were mandated by the Supreme Court and Harper refused to follow what the Supreme Court said. Ultimately the changes will not be upheld and will be struck down. He actually made the situation worse for sex trade workers.

The Police will only get involved if there are complaints from a neighborhood or activity is too public. If sex trade workers and customers use reasonable discretion there is nothing to worry about.

I don't think there would be any extra risk if you continued to see providers you have seen in the past or that are well known. You know they are real and you know they are escorts, so why wouldn't that be business as usual?

I agree with what northernguy222 has put forth here and suggest that we shouldn’t be too worried about carrying on as usual with the standard practices we have been using for years to arrange our private get-togethers with the girls. I can’t envision discreet telephone contact with a well known girl as becoming a dangerous way of getting together for some time to come. There will likely be far more risk to those who are fans of the street but I doubt that many members here are among that group anyway.

While the bill has been passed by parliament there is still a lot of work to be done with respect to it before any Crown or any police department is going to risk laying charges based upon it. They’d need the actual document in hand to make certain they are not contravening any part of it in any way.

As has been suggested here before, it is most likely that the enforcement of some sections of this new law will require significantly more time, manpower and other resources than most forces will be prepared to expend upon it. To mollify the public they will be forced to fall back on attacking street level girls with operations such as stings etc. which are very cheap, easy, and quick to set up as well as very efficacious at providing almost instant news coverage and other public relations that make it seem that the police are doing their part as required in the fight against crime. Hopefully the bill will be back for consideration again by the Supreme Court before there is a need to worry about it‘s full implementation!

The real simplest answer is to just stick to women with reputations and you know are real. IF any RCMP force is going to run stings(which is virtually not going to happen in the TS category because it is too small), they will be posting hot pics on backpages or craiglist theraputic or something like that. Just stay way from someone you don't know about or hasn't been reviewed here (even if the photos are nearly impossible to resist) and everyone will be safe.

They want this bill to deter people , so they will want to trot out a few "examples" during the first few months. Once court challenges happen it will die down pretty quick but there will be a guy here and there who gets nailed trying to see some "hot 20 year old on backpages" or try the street scene. I wouldn't be surprised if they raid a massage parlor or two just to get a headline out there. They probably will figure a lot of men will stop if they see a couple of guys names in the papers for being charged.

It?s way too soon to give up and deny ourselves the TS pleasures unavailable elsewhere.

I feel certain that the Conservative government?s main concern is with the most obvious part of the sex industry, that being the obnoxiously visible public aspects of the trade i.e. the street level hookers and possibly some body rubs where it also happens as well that much of the trafficking of women occurs.

Much of the prostitution industry operates so surreptitiously that the public is largely unaware of it?s existence. If the authorities can show the public that they are hitting the segments that upset the public the most, such areas as hooker street parades/strolls and strip-mall body rubs, trafficking etc., they will be somewhat content to leave those tougher to prosecute segments like public advertisements by girls etc. alone until the public demands action on some particular aspect.

In that the public doesn?t really see or know much of what is happening behind closed doors there will likely not be many more complaints than there are currently for the authorities to take action upon. I predict that the situation, as it is at this time, will continue unimpeded for some time still!

I certainly can't blame kissingbandit for his apprehension and nervousness with this new prostitution law which will commence or takes effect tomorrow Dec 6, 2014. It certainly shield the sex provider against legal actions in selling their wares ( sans their website ads of course ) but it'll put all johns in a sinister situation i.e. lawsuit, shaming, etc...etc....not to mention the repercussions if they are a family man ( which i'm sure are in big numbers ). For guys who have nothing to lose, i'm sure this new law don't matter...especially if they have access to a good lawyer.

Though the assessment of some people with regards to the famous and professionals and popular providers is 100% precise and true. It's actually a win win situation for them. They can afford a lawyer, they've been there done that and nothing to lose, in fact they could corner the big market now as they're the established one that most likely and safely be procured by their long time admirers and loyal clientele ( to lessen the guys chances of being in a sting operation ) and I know that even with zero advertisement this girls would survive and survive well. In fact they could save a huge amount of money from those professional pictorials...pro make-up artist, pro photographers and expensive slutty outfit

I really pity the street hookers now as they will surely suffer the brunt of this new law. Bill C-36 is ten times worst than the one strike down by the Supreme court, because it strikes to the heart of the revenue making aspect of this profession. Making the johns criminals once they got caught compared to some orientations/seminars they were imposed before...it'll make plenty of john's to be really...really nervous.

And we all know that to appeal or to challenge the constitutionality of this new law could again take years and years...that perhaps most providers would be receiving their old age pension before it even get to its first hearing at the Supreme court...the slow wheels of justice for sure will prevail...again!.

But I wish us all... Goodluck!

For some reaaon, men always fascinated me, they want to be topped while they want want to be in control at the same time. The reaction of men to this bill is no different and just hilarious!

So the guys will abstein, good luck with this strategy. It seems as men believed that prostitution was perfectly legal before the current bill. Men never stop to amuse me. They believe they know it all, when they havent even done their minimal research.

Please don't jump on me, as I have done my homework and went to a country where the Nordic model was imported from and can simply laugh at some of the comments here.

The distant future is very unclear!

I don't see too much change in the immediate future for us as clients but the distant future is very unclear for all involved, both clients and escorts.

I sincerely hope too that things will turn out to be against Stephen?s wishes but unfortunately Lani, as of late, my crystal ball has become quite murky and very hard to read. Yesterday, as I peered into that crystal ball, the distant future was hidden behind such a deep BLUE haze that only a very CONSERVATIVE estimate of the next few days, weeks or months ahead was somewhat clear enough to take a chance on verbalizing.

In that earlier post I was referring in particular to that member whose prior posts had suggested that because of Bill C36 he was going to cease looking for action in his usual haunts rather than chance getting into trouble because of this damnable piece of legislation. My suggestion to him was that immediate withdrawal from this pastime was not necessary, that it would take some time to get all the legal aspects up and running and that he might be reasonably safe in continuing with providers already known to him, at least in the short term. The future though remains very unclear!

Those comments yesterday were to help sustain him and were related to what I see as the practical effects of Bill C36 in the short term, upon us, such wretched, depraved, and contemptible criminal clientele as we exist in Stephen?s eyes!

I notice that as of this morning NOW publications has issued a statement that they are going to defy this new law and continue publication of escort ads. I hope this will be just the beginning of an all out fight by the public against Stephen and the CONSERVATIVE government in their attempt to enforce their religious ideology upon us all.

                            The future is very unclear!

The future is very dependant upon the next federal election!
