God I hate Philly. Especially during the Lindros years, he was such a cry baby. The next round is going to be interesting.

Habs-Philly who would of guessed, but at least the way seems clear for the Habs to make it to the stanley cup final. It's been along time for a Canadian team to make this far. I think Halak will be able to carry them one more series but his luck will finally run out in the finals against most likely the San Jose Sharks.

it hasn't been that long since a canadian team was in the finals. only a few years since the chokators did what they do best in the finals.

but it looks as if the halak train has derailed. mtl has finally met their goliath in disguise.

that's right I forgot about Edmonton in 2006, and Calgary in 2004. But don't count out the Habs yet, Halak usually plays his best when the teams backs are up against the wall.

As a habs fan I must admit that things look very grim at present.

Style wise Philly and their trap defense are a terrible match up for the smaller hab forwards and I just don't know how they overcome this.

Hey madplotter is it me or do you think that Philly got a wee bit upset in the 3rd period? Ricahrds, Coburn and Carcillo looked ready too tear off some heads.

It'll only get scrappy if it's not close... if the score is tight Philly will try and stay disciplined but if the Habs get up by 2 or more it'll be a rough one for sure.

Well. You just never know what the next game will bring but it doesn't matter for me at this point. Montreal has proven they are a contender and have shushed some of the critics. Cup or no cup they have done very well.
