Go Habs Go
Current NHL standings as of March 17 2010
What a stellar season by the Leafs! LOL After all those "changes" they managed to not be in last place........
Now we’re talking!

canadiens.com
MONTREAL – When even Andrei Markov is a chatterbox, you know the Habs must be on a roll.
Normally the strong silent type, Markov couldn’t say enough following the Canadiens fifth straight win.
“I feel like we’re playing well right now, but there is still a long way to go,” said Markov. “I’m playing well, but I always hope that my best game will be my next one. I enjoy every game I play and I appreciate every shift I play, especially at this time of the year.”
In case you’re wondering why Markov is giddy these days, look no further than his current six-game point streak or his plus-8 rating since the Olympic break. His team’s 6-1 mark over that span hasn’t hurt either.
“I might be well rested since I was out for so long this year, but I still feel pretty terrible after a tough game like this,” joked Markov about missing the first three months of the season. “The 82 game schedule is hard on all of us. Being hurt like I was is tough, too. The road back isn’t easy. I’m just trying to give it all I have every night to make up for being away for so long.”
Thanks to their five-game winning streak, the Canadiens can now start looking ahead of them in the standings instead of strictly behind them, and Markov is the first to admit he’s also been sneaking a peek at the out of town scoreboard from the bench during games.
“The standings are impossible to avoid, we do pass right by them after every period,” shrugged Markov. “Every win is important right now and tonight was just huge. It’s good to see that by winning we move up or don’t lose any ground. We have 12 games left. This is going to be battle until the end and we all know it.”
Arm-chair quarterbacks everywhere have their take on where the Habs are and where they’re headed. As for the Habs actual on-ice quarterback, he has his own theory.
“I like what I’m seeing right now,” assessed Markov. “We’re not perfect, but we’re trying to be.”

After a shaky start the HABS will be finishing strong. By the way....what is golf? LOL
On a serious note anyone seen the prospect PK Subban? The game I saw a few weks ago where he played at home he was all over the place PLUS I've never heard the home crowd cheer as much for a rookie as much as for Subban. Every time he touched the puck they chanted ......
PK....PK.....PK......PK
OK for the sake of conversation... to all HABS fans pick your all time top 10 Canadiens players.

silly man those changes were to rebuild the team from the ground up. expect the leafs to be in the gutter for next year as well.
the habs are a mediocre team. better than the leafs yes, but with a team like that, with absolutely no depth, they are only going to be sweeped in the first round of the playoffs, like last year lol.
if the leafs ever got sweeped in a playoff series, god damn there'd be a riot here in toronto.
