Now is the time to start looking at flight options.
I have shown the current cheapest flights return from Toronto to Bangkok.
You probably won't ever find the prices much cheaper than $1300 CAD.
If you watch seat sales you can maybe find better airlines.
Especially if you want Aeroplan miles or something, you can get 18,000 aeroplan miles on this trip.
Plus if you fly on an airline you are a member of their loyalty club, you will have less chance of getting bumped and better treatment otherwise.
Sometimes it is worth paying a little more than the cheapest for less stops or more perks.
Figure:
$1500 flight.
$1000 Hotel (or less)
$300 Ground transport
$200 food
=$3000

3 thousand and you are covered for everything but partying and shopping.

Average Beer price in a bar = $2 per normal bottle. (All have larger beers for cheaper too)
Average Over night price with a Ladyboy = $150 (Long Time, plus bar fine $20)
Average Short time price with a Ladyboy = $60 (plus bar fine $20, plus short time room $10)
Marlboro cigarettes around $2 per pack.

I suspect this was also a while ago, Thailand is getting more expensive by the day.

Occasionally you could get away for $30 for short time but this includes tip and everything so I would always give more than this.
But over night should be minimum $100 really. I am not one to pay only what I can get away with.
Being a little more generous always pays off anyway. (you get what you pay for)
They may go with you cheaper hoping to latch on to you for longer or need a place to stay etc.
However I would never lowball girls like this.

As I said you can get short time full service as low as 1000 baht which is around $35.
This is standard short time prices, plain and simple.
Some bars the girls will ask up to $2000 ($70) for short time, which may a "fancy" bar you speak of.

This is the going rates generally everywhere, Bangkok may be a little more sometimes.
I've never paid for just a blowjob so I don't know what they charge. Sometimes you can get blowjobs for tips in the bars.

I think you are confusing "Full Service" with "Long Time" rates.
Long time is always starting at $2000 -$3000, this means they come to your hotel and stay with you up to 24 hours.
I have never ever heard of anyone charging less than this for "Long Time" unless they were desperate or have some other reason they are undesirable.
Sometimes you may pay short time and the girl will stay with you longer or over night.
Usually they are expecting to get more when they do this but they won't necessarily ask for more.

In general if you want the cheapest prices you will get that from GG girls as there is 100 times more girls.
Ladyboys will charge about the same rate usually but GG girls will go way lower.
I would never go with a girl that offers a lowball price as I would be very suspicious she is out to rob me or worse.

If you are not meeting them at some kind of bar then you must be picking them up off the street.
This is not recommended in Thailand as there is a reason these girls are not working in some bar.
Picking up a girl that is not associated to a bar is riskier, they are not regularly tested and there is no recourse if you are robbed.
However if you paid a bar fine, they are associated to a bar in some way.

Generally i don't discuss prices at the bar. I pay what i think is fair based on the service i received.
I find the girls are better if you don't agree on a lowball price, then they don't feel limited by the price.
This way they will work harder to impress you in hopes you will reward them with a good donation.

Agreeing to $30 at the bar will get you $30 service.

I still think he has "long time" and "full service" confused.
1000 baht ($35) is a pretty common rate for short time with full service.
Never would I pay a girl less than 3000 baht ($100) for an overnight.
The lowest long time rate I have ever been quoted is $2000 from a girl but I never ask anyway.
I find the beauty of Thailand is I don't ask and they usually seem happy with what they get.

If things are slow and you are interesting they may go with you for cheap just to get bar fined so they can leave the bar.
Sometimes if they are really bored they pay their own bar fine, so they can go home.
Also if you look like a good bet for a multi night go then they may take a chance on you.
When you spend a week together you are going to be buying them meals and going shopping on top of their pay, this is the real paydays they are looking for most of the time.

GG girls are a different story too. There is 1000 girls in Pattaya for every ladyboy and many are not treated well.
Girls have offered to go with me for free but never ladyboys. Ladyboys are always more business like than girls.
Ladyboys are less likely to be under the thumb of some bar owner, as fresh girls are often shipped in from Laos and Cambodia.
Ladyboys tend to work on their own terms more.
Everyone in Pattaya are generally under pressure to support their families back home.
Most ladyboys 18-22 would be serving in the army if they were still men, so for them working a bar is much better.
They can easily make much more than a soldiers wage.

I was trying to offer common rates as a reference for newcomers that may go on the trip.
Just like anything you can pay really high rates or you can pay really low rates, there is problems both ways.
Too cheap and there is a chance they are out to rip you off or they are unemployable by most bars due to STD tests or criminal record.
Sure I can find a LB for $20 overnight on the street in front of Nana Plaza or I can pay $100 overnight for one working in a bar in Nana Plaza.
My chances of getting robbed or catching something are nil when I take the girl from the bar, and someone knows I was there.

Regardless it is pretty cheap compared to Canada.
The biggest mistake some make is trying to see some famous porn star like Mint or Areeya and paying big bucks.
When in fact there is many that look just the same starting at $30 and up.

The reason the dates are what they are is to include this event if anyone wants to go.
At the time I set this thread up, the tournament was not for sure.
I was thinking of buying a few tickets for this soon as it always is sold out right away.

Really the itinerary for the trip is unknown until we know who is coming and when they are arriving.
So far there is a lot of people like you that are unsure. Plus if some people cannot leave until a Saturday due to work they would miss this particular event.
