I never said you were racist I said your comparison doesn't make any sense at allYour husband is not dark then....what is the example lol? There are a lot of white black people too.

This isn't about being proud or ashamed this is about your post.

People don't choose to come out of their mother white or black. You have a choice whether you want to make yourself over and face the world....you ALREADY KNOW how people will treat you why act surprised? Is any discrimination right of course not.

A Black person is not choosing to look black.
no but just think how much your saving at the tanning beds lol

Anyone who's experienced prejudice and discrimination should be able to identify it when it comes from their own mouths. You know what? EVERYBODY experiences discrimination at some point, at the hands of someone ignorant. Even white, straight, able-bodied males experience it from time to time, though not nearly as often as the rest of us.

You don't think we deal with discrimination, prejudice and violence? You go tell that to Gwen Araujo, or Cassandra Do, or any of the thousands of trans people who have been murdered simply for being themsel ves. Go to www.rememberingourdead.org if you need a refresher course on the discrimination that leads to our deaths on a daily basis.

When was the last time you got fired from your job for being black? My former boss removed me from my position of Sales Manager and Marketing Director after I started my transition, because she thought that customers would judge our product negatively because of the person representing it. Attitudes like yours simply prove that she was right. After a pay cut, reduction of hours, and a lot of harassment on the job, I was eventually terminated because she "wasn't comfortable" having me in the office.

Nope, I've never been called a nigger or a spic or a packy; I've been called bitch, faggot, queer, and freak, instead - don't those count as slurs? Don't those words hold the same vitriol and hate as the ones you mentioned? It's even better when those same words come from the mouth of your own father - has your dad ever called you any of those slurs?

It doesn't matter how passable or attractive you are, either; if your presentation is female, but your ID says male, you're still going to experience problems. I've been harassed by cops too; I got pulled over with a male friend of mine in the car, and the cop asked him if he was my pimp. I've been stopped and questioned simply for walking down the street at 1am, wearing jeans and a sweater, and the cops accused me of working the corner. So don't tell me we don't experience discrimination, because it's very real to everyone in our community.

So Obama is going to be President, and good for him. How many trans politicians are there? How many trans cops, trans teachers, trans judges, and trans CEO's are there? Even if they exist as passable members of their identified gender, that means they have to go into hiding, pretend their pasts never existed, and are potentially subjected to blackmail if someone finds out.

In a further display of ignorance, you seem to think this is a CHOICE. It isn't. The only choice for us is being oursel ves, or blowing our brains out of our skulls. And sadly, a lot of us take that second option instead, because of that same discrimination you don't think we experience. We have just as much choice in our gender identity as we do in our ethnicity and skin colour: NONE.

We might be treated nicely on a tgirl forum, or in a tranny club, or by the men that fuck us for money, but that's an incredibly small portion of society. Ask us how much fun it is to get our cars fixed, or apply for a mortgage, or a job - the sex industry is the only place that we receive any respect. Why do you think so many of us end up here? Because nobody else wants anything to do with us.

I do it because I genuinely enjoy it, and it's a great way to pay my tuition, but many of us simply have no other choice. I was talking to a girl just two days ago that told me she turned a trick because she had no job, no food in her fridge, and her rent was coming up in 5 days. She looked like she had just been run over by a Mack Truck, but she did what she had to do to survive. She said to me, "I never thought I would actually do that" just before the tears started to flow down her face. Have you ever fucked someone for food and shelter? I highly doubt it, so don't go thinking it's all glitz and glamour in this business.

Finally, let's take a look at the most prejudiced comment in the entire thread:
Your hypocricy knows no bounds. You claim prejudice, then display it in its most blatant form. If we're so nasty, why the hell are you on this forum? How can you judge all of us based on the words of the few? If that's not the dictionary definition of prejudice, I don't know what is.

I'm done with this thread before it becomes a "we're-more-discriminated-against-than-you-are" dramafest, but a few things before I go:

Shelby - see who you want to see, it's your right and privilege.
Kblack - I'm sorry you were sad from Shelby's ad, but fortunately there are plenty of hot TS's that don't care what colour you are. We'll treat you like a king if you treat us with respect; that's all we care about.
Vic - If you think we have a choice about who we are, or that we're nasty people, then move on to your next kink, and get the fuck out of our forum. You're not welcome here, and that's not because of your skin colour - it's because of your stupidity.

That's it for me - you guys can argue over who experiences more discrimination, while I'm out there fighting it in ALL forms.
That was the best post i ever read in this forum awesome job sister

OK first off ........are you even a sex worker?
Cassanda was an escort please don't input some silly transgender violence propaganda into a job that sees violence agaisnt sex workers everyday....unless you know something I don't....which you don't.

You are right there has been much violence agaisnt trans.......how about this where is the remember the black people site?

Are you that smart that you think you will become trans and then when you get into a car accident and the ambulance comes along and tham sees you have a dick....are you HOPING they will treat you with eqaulity? What kind of fairytale are you living in?

Do you really think the doctor will treat you the same? Or is this something you hope for? Do you hope when you cross the street on a red light that cars will stop for you lol?

When was the last time you got fired from your job for being black? Seeing how you held such a high position let me tell you about some people called Lawyers
They love - Minorites , Gay , Transgender and the disabled.

Who do you think has a bigger role in creating equal rights in society?
Human Rights groups? People posting on the internet or a couple of individuals who get treated unfairly and have the balls to find a shark of a Lawyer

Pat just said he wasn't comfortable dealing with the girl wearing the Hejab. Did you step up to the plate and reply? You can't have it just your way NIKKI.

Nope, I've never been called a nigger or a spic or a packy; I've been called bitch, faggot, queer, and freak, instead - don't those count as slurs? You are just soo off lol

        1. don't be a bitch

        2. While I agree those other words are hatefull. I can't tell you are a queer faggot or freak from across the street.

If you are so "freak" looking did you know your own community would call you a freak too. How do you feel about that? lol

It doesn't matter how passable or attractive you are, either; if your presentation is female, but your ID says male, you're still going to experience problems. I agree with you on the ID but again this is your choice you know that might happen don't you?

You know what I have lived Downtown for maybe 7 years. I have never been stopped by the cops because I don't go in any prostitution drug areas at odd times. I don't walk the streets at night lol I have never been pulled over because someone thought I was a prostitute lol. Don't hang out at prostitution/drug areas and that won't happen. If I was walking up church or whereever at 1am I really wouldn't be suprised if a cop stopped me. What does that have to do with you being TRANS? You don't thing GG get stopped for the same thing?

I'm talking about colored people being harrased in nice areas like in Mississauga , Scarborough , North York Markham Lets be real from lakeshore-yonge-bloor- east of parliament is riddled with DRUGS GANGS AND PROSTITUTES....what do you expect??

So Obama is going to be President, and good for him. How many trans politicians are there? How many trans cops, trans teachers, trans judges, and trans CEO's are there? Even if they exist as passable members of their identified gender, that means they have to go into hiding, pretend their pasts never existed, and are potentially subjected to blackmail if someone finds out.
Weren't you the one posting the links to the trans head lady at Microsoft lol.
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Story?id=4394493&page=1 theres tons of these great stories

Hey no offense to you but most transgender people
I know don't want anyone to know they are trans. Maybe you are spending too much time on shemale sites and with hookers who don't give a shit and show their dicks all over the internet.

Why do you call it hiding? they don't call it hiding they are totaly happy living as women in what ever life they choose. We can't all do that but no need to discriminate against trans gender people who have happily transitioned into another life leaving their male identity totally behind.

In a further display of ignorance, you seem to think this is a CHOICE. It isn't. The only choice for us is being oursel ves, or blowing our brains out of our skulls. I highly doubt it, so don't go thinking it's all glitz and glamour in this business.
Please don't insult the whole human race with some drama queen who has to have sex for food in toronto. There is TONS of people who have no money and no job and they find work and way around selling their bodies. Rent coming up in 5 days....what happend to the 25 days before that?

It is totaly your choice how you look and act. Yes you should have been a girl yes you are a girl inside. You choose to shave your legs get tits , dress up and then go out to the world. Are you that dense that you think everyone is so accepting they will love you? Enough with the blow your brains out bullshit drama spare me the tranny drama crap. You know exactly how people will treat you. Hey I know lots of *girls* who are happy wearing bangles and mascara and thats all...because that makes them feel great....theres no rule book you gotta put on a dress lol.

I'm saying a black person doesn't choose how they look, there is no fucking option to make themself look different lol.

Yes most of you are nasty people, its true. You think these girls write bad shit about each other , call each other crossdressers , try to wreck each other business. You think thats a fucking loving group? I think I would know more about that than you.

btw I had soooo many people email me and ask what they can do for the community....they seemed like good people I said go spend your time with some people who need it...like the volunteer at the food bank or the Chum city christmas wish.......people who NEED help.

Oh ya Chum city christmas doesn't discriminate I see you have lots of give in you I suggest you try giving to other parts of society too

              Nice Article Nikki

Your editorial on the in's and out's of the transgender lifestyle or style of life was interesting. Defensive but interesting.

Despite Vic's somewhat unpleasant piece and not withstanding our joint support for Shelby's rights, we must accord Vic those same rights. You appeared to lose it when you asked that Vic, not access these forums. Though I understand why, I also concede where Vic is coming from.

Being right or wrong is always a challange; being rude is simple selfishness.

But I remain loyal to your purpose.

or move it out of reviews at least?

(unless one of our black tgirlforum brothers in here wants to go undercover and try to visit shelby to actually provide a review?)

Ok, I will lock this thread.

I left it going because i was quite entertained by you all.
Addtionally, it seems the only way to get a real good discussion going around here it with some controversy.

Anyone has the right to do business with anyone they want.
Businesses that operate within' the law are required not to show discrimination openly. So actually advetising that you won't serve non caucasions is not actually allowed. However with something like personal escorting services, a person has some rights to interact with those they approve of.
I guess she could not put that in her ad, and you could drive all the way over to her place just to be turned down. (and as long as she doesn't give your race as an excuse, it is perfectly acceptable.)

Anyway I think in this case it is perfectly acceptable to state preferences.
She obviously would be giving bad service to someone she is not attracted to.

Yes there was some rude unthinking comments on this thread but they seemed to come from both sides.

The only true racist here is the one who goes out of his way not to be served by someone just because of their hat. That is just ridiculous.
Just the fact that you would waste your own valuable time to prove your point, just re-enforces your red-neck status.
